Heaney Meats is a family-owned company with over 300 years of service in the meat industry.
In 1704, the company founder, Michael Heaney returned to Ireland after 10 years working in London Meat
Market. With the experience he gained in London, Michael opened his own business one year later. The
business grew rapidly over the last 10 years. Michael’s son and in turn his son, got involved in the business as it
grew, passing their knowledge and skills from one generation to the next generation define .
The Heaney family are producing the same high-quality meat which has become synonymous with the Heaney
name. Brothers Shayne and Kenneth Heaney now run the business from their purpose-built stage of the art
factory in Galway.
